Bamboo
Feels like the softest cotton, but doesn't cost the Earth! The fabric used to make New Zealand Nature's 95% Bamboo Viscose clothing, sleepwear and underwear is knitted from the cellulose fibres of bamboo plants grown without chemicals or pesticides. New Zealand Nature's Bamboo Viscose garments provide versatile style and breathable comfort for any season, with these special qualities....
Super Soft, Wrinkle Resistant & Easy Care
The smooth, round structure of the fibre means that Bamboo Viscose is soft and non-irritating, even to sensitive skin. Its natural elasticity provides a high level of wrinkle resistance. Machine washable.
Cool in Summer & Warm in Winter
A cross-section of the bamboo cellulose fibre shows many micro-gaps and micro-holes making Bamboo Viscose highly absorbent and breathable. In warmer weather, you'll feel cool and comfortable. In the colder months, it provides insulation, retaining body warmth by trapping pockets of warm air against your skin.
UV Protective
Our 95% Bamboo Viscose fabric has been independently tested and given the highest possible rating of UV protection – UPF50+ (to meet European standard EN 13758-1). This means that it will block at least 98% of ultra-violet radiation, making our Bamboo Viscose clothing range an excellent choice for summer.
Easy on the Environment & Sustainable
Unlike cotton, bamboo needs no pesticides, fertilisers or other chemicals to grow. It grows fast, and due to its extensive root network, requires no replanting. Its dense growth resists soil erosion and actually improves soil quality. It absorbs 35% more carbon dioxide than an equivalent stand of trees and releases more oxygen. The Bamboo Viscose fibre used for New Zealand Nature’s Bamboo clothing is grown without the use of chemicals in Sichuan province, China and is Oeko-Tex 100, Class I certified. Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is the internationally accepted standard of testing for harmful substances.
